This is simply not enough, especially if you have a family. You need to put everything within reach without sacrificing the space that you do have.

Shelves You Can Add On To

You can benefit from the use of shelves so many different ways. You can use them for towels, extra bathing supplies, washcloths, and more. There are shelving units called valet. These shelves fit very snug from the ceiling to the floor. They have tension on the poles so you can place things on the shelves without the entire shelf falling over. You can place one in your shower stall to hold shampoo, soap, shaving cream and razor, and more. There are also shelving units that can fit in different corners of the room.

Caddies

There are several different sized caddies that are also different shapes. You can place these caddies on the inside of the doors, or over the shower heads. The possibilities are endless when it comes to caddies. Some caddies hang with suction cups while others have small arms that bend over a surface and hangs on the opposite side.

Hanging Items On Walls

You can place these baskets on the wall and you can also hang all your towels on wall rings. If you have any pegboard left from another project, you can hang S-hooks and display several colorful baskets that you can use for washcloths, and more.

Small Furniture

You can also turn an old dresser that really doesn’t have a place in your decor into a dresser for the bathroom. You can place linens, towels, washcloths, and more in this dresser. Before you add it to the bathroom, make sure that you sand it and paint it the way that you want.

Wicker Baskets

You can use wicker baskets for almost any type of storage. These baskets can be hung up anywhere in the room. If you want them lined, you can cut and fit a liner that will coordinate with the rest of your decor. There are baskets that are rectangular in shape or they are flat backed. This means they will hang flat against the wall so you can save even more space. Since you are using wicker baskets you can place a wicker clothes basket to catch all the dirty clothes.

Finishing touches

You can hang a wooden coat rack on the wall above the tub so you can place your towels there while you are taking a shower. You can paint these racks a solid neutral color to help the rest of the decor to blend in with the rest of your decor. You will also need to add area rugs to your bathroom. You can do one large rug or you can do several small rugs. It’s important to put rugs that not only blend in with the decor but it will also absorb water. Cotton rugs would be soft on your feet and make it easier to absorb water. The more lighting you have the more space it will seem like you have as well.
